Today Haroon Company celebrates the 14th anniversary of one of Dubai’s most prominent projects , the Dubai Metro , which was inaugurated by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai on 09.09.09 (9th September,2009) . We are proud to have supplied the complete door hardware package from Devon Architectural Products Ltd. on this remarkable transportation infrastructure which has recently reached the milestone of serving two billion passengers since its inauguration.
As we look back, we are reminded of the myriad challenges that Haroon Company successfully handled while supplying on this huge project. These challenges included providing solutions for large and heavy doors adorned with metal and marble cladding. Additionally, our task included the design and supply of a colossal GGMK (Great Grand Master-Key) system for approximately 8000 doors. We are proud to note that we were able to meet the extra-ordinary demands of the said project within a tight delivery deadline, thus demonstrating Haroon Company’s ability to deliver large-scale projects exactly on time. Besides full compliance with the stringent fire and life safety regulations, Devon brand hardware installed on the Dubai Metro project , is a true example of robust performance in an environment where thousands of commuters rely on these door openings day in and day out.

- Heavy duty durable door hardware which was cycle tested by RTA at an independent laboratory in Holland.
- Electrified locks with latch and deadbolt monitoring function connected to the control room.
- Heavy duty floor springs and pivots with door closers to withstand the extraordinary weight of the doors.
- High security GGMK (great grand master key) system for multiple metro stations, offices, depots and bus stops.
- Marine graded 316 stainless steel hardware to counter the extreme weather conditions.
- Heavy duty mortise panic exit device with 3-point locking system
From a technical viewpoint, our role was not merely supplying hardware; All the products from the Devon brand were carefully selected to meet the demanding criteria of the mass transit system. Therefore, it is no wonder that despite 14 years of rigorous commuter traffic, Devon door hardware, characterized by its durability and adherence to strict safety standards, ensures the seamless operation of the Metro’s entrance and exit points, bolstering both passenger experience and system integrity.
